October in Houston is still warm. And the trees are still green.

So this was perfect timing to photograph an outdoor maternity session in Cypress, TX.

I met Lacey and Owais when they hired me to be their wedding photographer for their multi-cultural ceremony which took place in Sugar Land, TX.

Soon after, Lacey announced they were expecting a little bundle of joy! It was an absolute honor when she contacted me and asked me to photograph her maternity session.

The Cy-Fair area is the perfect backdrop if you’re looking for tall trees and wooded areas, so I thought this place would be perfect for their photos.  Lacey chose a maroon gown for her photos because we knew this color would pop against the greens.

We met up the weekend before Halloween and there were little ghouls and goblins celebrating in advance, but this did not deter us from continuing with our session.

The weather was warm and perfect and the clear skies gave way to a perfect sunlight which shone through the trees and created the perfect golden light for this session. It was a dream!
