When I first picked up an SLR camera in 2003, I was fortunate enough to have the guidance of a mentor who taught me how to actually USE the camera for the purpose it was made for - to create art.  Since then, I stopped using the automatic setting and have been shooting on manual.  I practiced for many years before jumping head on into professional photography.  Since 2009, I have been shooting, weddings, events and portraits.  I have always been willing to help other photographers and have offered advice to those who have asked.  I now want to offer more than just advice - I now offer 1 on 1 mentoring to new photographers.  This hands on experience will help to boost your progress and help you get fast start on launching your own business and booking clients.

Starting From the Basics

Have a new DSLR camera but don't know what all those buttons do? Learn to use your camera in manual mode and gain greater control over your images.  In this session, you will learn about ISO, shutter speed and aperture and go over the basic settings and functions of your camera, such as metering, AF functions and more. We will also do some practice shooting to get used to using these functions in various lighting situations.

Portrait Photography + Editing Mentoring

Shoot your very own portrait session with guidance from me.  I will help you with finding the best lighting, directing the subject and composing your shot.  We will be working on your choice of families, couples, or maternity.  After the session, we will go over the workflow, editing and basic use of Adobe Lightroom.
