...because you need to knowWhen should I book a newborn photography session?
The best time to book a newborn session is before the baby is born. When you reserve your spot with a paid booking retainer, I will leave some time slots open for the month you are due.
Upon arrival of your precious baby, please contact me to finalize a date and time for your newborn shoot. Please call at your earliest, as newborns are best photographed between 5-10 days after birth.
How old should my baby be at the time of a newborn photo shoot?
In my experience, I have found that babies between 4 days and 10 days old photograph the best. During this time, early in their life, babies will stay asleep during the session. It is not to say that I can't photograph a newborn who is any older than 10 days. Every baby is different.
Should I bring any props to my baby's newborn session?
The answer is you don’t have to. I provide all the wraps, hats, headbands, blankets, etc. for the session. However, if you do have any item or article of clothing that is of sentimental value and would like to have your newborn photographed in it, I highly encourage it!
